Steve Zirkler is a career teacher, musician and writer, teaching and performing for over 20 years.
He plays clubs, pubs, parties, schools and public events in solo and bands. He has taught countless students of music both young & old and particularly loves to tutor guitar and vocal.
Currently playing live on a regular basis around the Gold Coast in duo
"Two Of A Kind", though sometimes under other "names" with drummer/singer Jeff Ahearn, Steve sings and plays guitar and a variety of other instruments, covering various styles and also writes, produces and performs his own material.
With a teaching degree, approval to work in QLD schools & holding membership of QLD College Of Teachers, he teaches (on call & contract) elementary school Music, Japanese and a variety of other subjects as required.
He spent 6 years in Japan where he taught: elementary school at Tokyo International School, private lessons in guitar and voice, and English for Japanese students.
He has a certificate in teaching basic Japanese and a teaching qualification in language Methodology. He also holds a Fire Safety Advisor qualification.
Steve Zirkler is also registered and accredited as a Civil Marriage Celebrant here on Queensland's beautiful Gold Coast.
